Dad,
I am so grateful to have had you as my father. I have had a wonderful life thus far, which is due in no small part to the stable upbringing you provided and the values you instilled in me. Any successes I may have had in this life can be traced back to opportunities you provided - opportunities you yourself never had.
Thank you for believing in me and for always being there for me.
I love you, Dad, and I will miss you always.
With love,
Sean
Marlin, I will never forget the first time we have met. It was at your son's graduation at Quantico. I entered the large lobby by myself and felt a little lost because I did not know where to go. Then I see this man with a big smile approaching me. It was such a nice day and special day. Next time I saw you was at your son Sean's and my daughter's wedding. Berry, Art and I had such a good time chatting with you. Again, you looked so happy. I am so thankful for those sweet memories. Life is made of hello and good byes. The goodbyes are so hard... But you live in your son's memory and in the memory of the people you have touched. Much love, Leticia
I met Marlin only once, and that was at Sean’s and Georgina’s marriage in Oregon in 2014. I have fond memories from that occasion, including my conversations with Marlin at the family get-together the night before and Marlin’s jumping off a cliff into a whitewater river the following day.
In the years that have ensued, I have come to an understanding of the depth of Sean’s love and respect for his father and how Marlin’s life is reflected in Sean’s character and outlook on life.

Marlin -
We are sad to not have you around in our lives, but many of your attributes live on through Sean. I am appreciative that you raised a thoughtful, dedicated, hardworking and logical man in your image. I am grateful of the service you have provided to this country. I will cherish the memories and photos of you interacting with your grandchildren. I loved seeing your sense of adventure as you navigated the white water rapids with your paddle. Rest in peace. You have earned it.
Love,
Georgina
Memories of Marlin and our years together raising two wonderful sons. The years in the military spent in Spain & England. A special occasion when he won a trip to Paris in a raffle. Good times. Lv Beryl
Dear Uncle Marlin,
You have always been a wonderful uncle to me and you were always my mother’s favorite baby brother! Since my mother passed before you, I write this loving memory to you from both of us.
First, my mother absolutely adored you. She always wanted to see you happy. When we would get together for birthday or holiday dinner celebrations, I could see my mother glow with happiness. Being with you and the family made her so very happy and it was all she wanted in this life.
I am so very thankful for the times we had together. I feel blessed to have been part of such a warm and loving family.
Also, I always thought you were so very handsome and that you could have been a movie star! You reminded me of Martin Sheen!
I miss you and I love you to the moon and back and until we meet again, please tell my mother and all of the family I love them to the moon and back too.
Love,
Donna
Dad,
Thank you for helping make me part of who I am. You taught me work ethic, responsibility, and so many other things. I always knew we would be taken care of.
My love of cars to this day is due to you, the Impala, the T-bird, even the Spitfire, you seemed to love them all.
I have fond memories of family trips from Maryland in the car stopping at South of the border , listening to Charley Pride , Glen Campbell and Charlie Rich. Our family's time in Mallorca, watching movies at the Puig. All times I look back at with a smile.
I miss you but always keep fond memories close to my heart.
